SMS Automations: Add Texting to Your Other Tools with Zapier

Text messaging makes your life even easier when it’s integrated with the tools you use every day.

Here’s how to connect text messaging to more than 5,000 online apps, software tools, and workflows using our Zapier integration.

1. Create a Free Zapier Account

Zapier lets you create workflows for common web apps and services.

Creating an account is totally free! Once you have one, you can explore existing "Zaps," or automated workflows, that connect your apps and services together. Some of the most popular tools our customers love creating Zaps for include:

Salesforce
Google Sheets
Pipedrive
Facebook Lead Ads
Leadpages
Trello

Your first five Zaps are part of Zapier’s free plan, then you can upgrade to use more.

In addition to existing Zaps that other users have made, you can also create your own. Below are some ideas of what those could look like.

2. Make Your First Zap

Add texting to just about anything.

Zapier makes creating new SMS automations easy with their drag-and-drop editor. There are a lot of different options you can choose from, including:

Creating new contacts in Text Request and your other systems automatically
Updating contact records in Text Request or your other apps
Triggering texts to send on form submissions or as part of workflows
Syncing Text Request message history to your other apps
Linking multiple text lines to these same automations (useful if you have multiple reps, departments, or locations texting from their own lines)

All of these help your team respond to contacts and close deals faster!

Once you create your new Zap inside Zapier, you can then add it to Text Request using our integration.

3. Add Your Automation

View and manage all your SMS Zaps at once inside Text Request.

In addition to any new text messaging Zaps you create and add, we also list any popular existing ones inside Text Request. You can turn them on and off at any time, plus browse new ones you potentially want to add—all from within the Zapier integrations section of our menu that’s available on Corporate plans and up.
