How to Integrate Text Request through Zapier
Text Request is a great tool, but sometimes you need what happens in Text Request to also appear somewhere else.
You might want any new contacts added to your customer relationship manager (CRM) to also show up in your Text Request account, for example. Or you might want your Text Request messages to also appear in your CRM - or applicant tracking system, or some other service.
That’s why we created this Zapier integration.
What is Zapier?
Zapier is an online service that makes it easy to “connect your apps and automate workflows.” It’s “easy automation for busy people. Zapier moves info between your web apps automatically, so you can focus on your most important work.”
Zapier connections - called “zaps” - take zero coding. And, because Text Request connects with Zapier, you can connect your Text Request account to any app in Zapier’s marketplace. That gives you over 1,400 options! But you probably only care about the one or two apps you’re already using.
Does Zapier let me integrate Text Request with my specific tools?
That’s a good question. The answer is probably “yes,” but there are so many software products and online tools available today. The only way to know for certain is to look.
Go to Zapier.com. You’ll see a search bar in the header. Suggestions will appear as you type. If the tool you search for appears, we can integrate it with Text Request - it’s as simple as that!
If the tool you search for does not appear, then they do not have a publicly available zap. You should contact your software/service provider, and ask them if they have any Zapier options for you to use.
So, how do I integrate with Text Request through Zapier?
Each Zapier connection has a trigger and an action. Something happens in one app that triggers an action in the other.
For example, let’s say you want to automatically add new contacts in Text Request to your Salesforce account. When a new contact is created in your Text Request account, a zap will be triggered to automatically add that new contact to your Salesforce account, too.
We’ve created a few pre-made zaps to help you hit the ground running, which you can view here. To quickly create your own zaps, follow these steps:
- Login to your Zapier account, or create a new account for free (it only takes an email and password).
- Navigate to "Connected Accounts" from the top menu bar.
- Now click on "Connect new account" and search for "Text Request."
- Use your credentials to connect your Text Request account to Zapier.
- Once that's done you can start creating an automation! Use a pre-made zap, or create your own with the Zap Editor.
- Creating a Zap requires no coding knowledge and you'll be walked step-by-step through the setup.
